This time of year brings a lot of excitement, Fall's arrival, the upcoming holidays, visiting with family, and communing with nature are all on my list of things to do. So this past weekend, when I ventured out to see how the leaves were progressing I was pleasantly surprised to find how pretty they actually were. Over the course of 3 days I shot 300+ images and curiously that amount was not enough. I suppose, with many outings like that I will have to look into investing in some type of storage for my photos but that is down the road. I have thought about purchasing an external hard drive or a flash memory device because they are so inexpensive these days.
You might be surprised at how little time it takes to shoot 300 images, less than 2 hours, that is the great thing about using a digital camera, as you know, no time is spent loading and unloading film. So when my travels drew me to one of my favorite destinations I found it rather easy to keep pushing the button.
In all actuality this image did not leave an impression on me until I started editing. The muted colors are so soft while the hanging branch above just jumps out at you. I have been looking for a shot like this and have seen other photobloggers post them so I was enthralled to have one of my very own. I did however enhance the saturation and cropped it slightly to maximize the reflective element. Now I am off to edit more photos and will post more Fall scenes later.
